Alaina is a the embedded psychologist for Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) and the Coordinator of Prevention Programs with Student Health and Counseling. She provides therapeutic services for students and facilitates mental health and wellness-related initiatives on campus. She develops and leads Counseling’s i care training, aimed to provide faculty, staff, and students with the skills and resources to support students experiencing stress, distress, or crisis. 

Alaina earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from La Salle University. Alaina did her post-doctoral fellowship at Penn, specializing in outreach and prevention. She has been working at Penn since 2015. 

Outside of her professional life, Alaina loves to spend time with friends and family, exploring Philly, being creative, and grabbing dinner at her favorite restaurant, Parc! Alaina’s favorite part about working at Penn is seeing students, staff, and faculty come together to build a caring community and learn skills to support themselves and each other.
