Schedule a medical care or counseling appointment

Medical Care Appointments

Call 215-746-WELL (9355) or schedule your medical care appointment online through your PennChart account. 

Instructions for NEW PATIENTS to schedule your online appointment:
  1. Download the MyChart app in the App Store or Google Play or visit the PennChart website.
  2. Log into (or create) your myPennMedicine account.
  3. Once logged in, click on “Schedule an Appointment” and then select “All Options.”
  4. From there, you must select "Primary Care" no matter what your medical concern is. 
  5. On the next screen, you must choose your visit type by selecting "UPenn Student Wellness Visit - Primary Care." Then select "Student."
  6. Enter your Penn ID and answer the question about urgent symptoms. After that, choose your appointment type by selecting the option that best matches the reason for your visit:
    • Gynecological: contraception evaluation, menstrual problems, PCOS/PMOS, and more
    • Injury: joint pain, recent injuries, and more
    • Routine Care: physicals, nutrition, asymptomatic STI testing, gender-affirming care, PrEP, and more
    • Sick Visit: non-chronic illness symptoms
  7. Find the appointment that best fits your schedule. 
  8. Follow the prompts to finalize and be sure to arrive on time for your appointment. 

Please note: if the visit type you need cannot be scheduled online, a pop-up will appear directing you to call the Medical Care office at 215-746-WELL (9355).

 

Instructions for EXISTING PATIENTS to schedule your online appointment:
  1. Download the MyChart app in the App Store or Google Play or visit the PennChart website.
  2. Log into (or create) your myPennMedicine account.
  3. Select a previously seen provider from the medical care team.
  4. Follow the prompts to find the appointment that best fits your schedule.  
  5. Finalize and be sure to arrive on time for your appointment!

Hours of Operation

Below are Student Health and Counseling’s in-person office hours of operation, unless otherwise noted when schedules are modified for holidays and breaks. Modified hours will be listed as an alert bar at the top of our website.

  • Monday: 9 am – 7:30 pm
  • Tuesday: 9 am – 7:30 pm
  • Wednesday: 9 am – 7:30 pm
  • Thursday: 10 am – 6 pm
  • Friday: 9 am – 5 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am – 3 pm
  • Sunday: Closed 
     

Late Policy

Wellness reserves the right to reschedule any appointment when the patient arrives after half of their appointment time has elapsed. Wellness will work to accommodate those patients with an acute clinical need with an appointment at a different time on the same day. 

If you arrive without an appointment, we will offer the next available appointment (which might be a different day). When medically urgent, a triage nurse will evaluate you if you cannot wait for an appointment with a provider.
