Ashley Straub is a College Mental Health Professional with Student Health and Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and completed her graduate studies in Clinical Social Work from New York University. Ashley has been working in the mental health field for over ten years and joined Penn in 2021.
Her areas of expertise include addressing suicidal ideation and childhood trauma, with a particular focus on how intersecting identities influence mental health. She also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her practice.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys hiking and trying out new food trucks. Her favorite part of working at Penn is meeting students from diverse backgrounds and supporting first-generation and low-income students.
