Chelsea is a staff therapist caring for students seeking support through Student Health and Counseling. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine to receive her master’s in counseling and clinical psychology.
Chelsea specializes in several areas within counseling, including helping patients through childhood trauma and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as giving compassion-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Chelsea is also experienced working in higher levels of care, such as intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP).
Chelsea has been working in the field of counseling since 2013 and recently joined the Penn team in September of 2023. As a new member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee and outreach committee, Chelsea is devoted to actively engaging with students through a multicultural and holistic lens.
Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys going on camping trips, crafting, reading, and volunteering with Obi Wan Kenobe, her certified therapy dog.
