Julia is a licensed psychologist providing therapeutic services for students who visit Student Health and Counseling. She received a bachelor’s in psychology from Temple University and earned a master’s and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University. She initially joined Penn as a doctoral extern during 2019-2020. She returned to Penn in 2022 to complete a post-doctoral fellowship and has since moved into her current staff position.
Julia’s clinical interests include relationships, self-esteem, family issues, anxiety, depression, multiculturalism and group therapy. She strongly believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship in promoting meaningful change. As such, she places emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and cultural humility, while utilizing an integrative approach to therapy to fit treatment to the client. She serves as a member of the Student Counseling’s Sexual Trauma, Treatment, and Outreach Prevention (STTOP) specialty team.
Outside of work, Julia loves to spend time with her friends and family and explore the amazing food scene in Philadelphia, with favorite restaurants including Sampan, Pizzeria Beddia, Cantina Feliz and Pesto. Julia is a proud Philly girl and a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan!
