Katharine Smith, PhD, CRNP
Katharine Smith is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner specializing in Vulvovaginal Diseases, Vulvar Dermatology, and Chronic Vaginitis. She holds a BA in Psychology and Chemistry from Mount Holyoke College, an MSN from Boston College, and a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. With 17 years of clinical experience, Katharine has been an integral part of the University of Pennsylvania community as a full-time clinician.
Outside of her clinical work, Katharine enjoys engaging in intellectual pursuits such as discussing politics, social justice, and philosophy. She is an avid reader and delights in sharing book recommendations with her patients and colleagues. Katharine also cherishes spending time with her family, participating in activities like playing catch and neighborhood bike rides.
Her favorite aspect of working at Penn is the supportive and intellectually stimulating environment provided by her colleagues within the Wellness team and the students she serves.
