Mia joined Student Health and Counseling in 2021 as an international specialist and college mental health professional. She is a licensed professional counselor who holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Oklahoma State University. She has clinical experience working in community mental health, private practice, and college counseling settings.
Mia’s clinical interests include working with international students, multiculturalism, identity formation, existential issues, and group therapy. Her approach to therapy is grounded in a humanistic and relational perspective, utilizing expressive counseling techniques and body-oriented modalities to support healing. She has received extensive training in Play Therapy and Somatic Experiencing. Mia is a member of the Let’s Talk team. She is available to provide therapy in Mandarin.
Outside of work, Mia cherishes quality time with family, friends, and her dog and cat. She loves hiking, playing ping pong, and tennis. If you ask Mia her favorite restaurant in Philly, she will tell you that the food at Chili Garden reminds her of her hometown.
