Richard Chen, MD

Dr. Chen is a staff physician specializing in sports medicine with Student Health and Counseling. He also sees patients in the primary care setting. He has been working with Penn since 2022. He completed his undergraduate degree in engineering at Drexel University and obtained his MD from Drexel University College of Medicine. He then later completed his residency training in family medicine and fellowship in sports medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His clinical interests include concussion management and sports injuries.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing tennis, fishing, and the culinary arts.
