In the unfortunate event of a student suicide or crisis, Penn follows a structured communication and care protocol:
- Campus-wide communication is sent via email from the University leadership
- Close contacts (friends, classmates, RAs, etc.) receive follow-up from Wellness at Penn staff
- All communications include links to available support services and resources
- Additional healing spaces, debriefs, and support groups may be provided
