If you need medical care when our office is closed:

We always have a person on call to address urgent medical questions. For example, if you are not sure whether your symptoms should warrant an immediate visit to a hospital Emergency Room, the on-call provider can help you figure out what to do. Simply call our main phone number 215-746-WELL (9355) to be connected to our provider on call.

There are several options in Philadelphia (you can search online for them), and their hours vary. Remember that you and your health insurance plan are responsible for any costs related to this care. Following are some examples, but listing them here does not imply endorsement of the services provided there:
- Go to the nearest Emergency Room or call 9-1-1 if it's a true medical emergency.

Patients can be evaluated and possibly admitted into the hospital for more intensive treatment. Remember that you and your health insurance plan are responsible for any costs related to this care. Emergency Rooms should not be used for mild conditions that can wait until our office re-opens for business. We recommend one of the following Emergency Departments:
- Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) – 1 Convention Avenue, Philadelphia
- Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) – Myrin Building, 51 N. 39th Street, Philadelphia
- Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) – 800 Spruce Street, Philadelphia
Clinical Fee Information
Wellness' Student Health and Counseling division is located on campus and committed to partnering with you to treat illnesses and injuries, promote wellness, and provide you with health education and information. Access is provided through Penn's Clinical Fee. The clinical fee for academic year 2023-2024 is $344 per semester. All full-time students, including those who are enrolled in the Penn Student Insurance Plan (PSIP), will be charged the Clinical Fee.
